Thanked: 5hmmm. I've gotten great lathers for the most part. I just have those small, silver dollar size sample tubs but will try taking the brush straight to the tub. I think maybe i didn't have enough water in my brush. I take a pea sized dollop and bury it in the center of the brush and then lather in a big cereal bowl. Maybe i should not bury it in the brush and just smear the cream in the bottom of the bowl. It can't be rocket science. Having only the samples, and knowing that i only need a small amount of the cream i'm treating this stuff like it was gold cuz i know the standard size tub of the stuff is pushing $40. hee hee.

I would seriously try "face lathering" with the CF. I am not as in love with CF as others, but it is definitely a quality cream.
FWIW, since I started face lathering, all of my products seem to have improved. It is just so much easier to build up a quality lather directly on the face than in a bowl.
Try it, you may be surprised.

Thanked: 3I purchased a tub of the CF lavender cream and AS balm last week while I visited the Truefit & Hill shave shop in Chicago.
I've been very impressed with the overall quality of the lather. Since the cream is very thick (think lard) I use one of my wife's popsicle stick applicators that she uses for applying wax. Seems to do the job getting the stuff in the mug. Doesn't take much.
