@ joshb1000 I've been wondering about trying a cream. Is it just one scent like vdh or do they have several? What is the usual price range.

As far as I know there is only one scent, it's a menthol eucalyptus scent. It's very refreshing especially in the morning, it's cooling too. In all actuality its just Proraso made in America for bath and body works. There are 2 sizes, the 5 oz. And 10 oz tube. Ranging from 5-10 dollars, but there is always a sale it seems. So for 20 bucks you can get 40$ worth of cream. It's awesome and well worth it. I love it!

I would have to agree with Josh C.O. Biglow is a great cream that is really easy to lather. BBW is always having a sale and if you go and they are not having a sale ask one of the sales people when they are running there next one and they will normally tell you. Lucky for me also my wife doesn't like that store so when she gets a gift card there I get it now.

I finally broke down and tried VDH today. I've been wet shaving for almost 15 years now, mainly using William's Mug, Col Conk and homemade soap. I couldn't believe how quickly the lather worked up with the VDH. In the time it took me to to work up a lather with the others, I had half a mug full of foam with the VDH. Factor in the price and I think I found a new favorite soap.

I like the VDH also. I took the puck and put it through a "grater" that I purchased at Wal Mart, into a bowl. Slightly packed it in the bowl. The brush picks up a little more of the soap this way; providing me more lather.

VDH is great for anyone, not just beginners. And unless something has changed, VDH makes Col Conk products.

Hey I just picked up a tube of co biglow and a bottle of the blue elixer cologne. I thought I'd tell y'all theyve got a buy two get third free deal right now. I'm planning on shaving with the cream tomorrow. I did a dry run just now to get a feeling for the lather and this stuff is amazing.
