Proraso was the first traditional soap I bought when starting off with a brush, and I still like it very much. It lasts a long time too, I bought my tub nearly 3 years ago and it's still going strong.

My tub developed a gap of the type you refer to after awhile. If it bugs you Proraso is soft enough that you can fill in the gap with your fingers. Either way, it's always a good idea to let soaps air dry for a while before storing them.
