Thread: Aftershave/ Gel Question

Hi guys,

I recently purchased the full TOBS sandalwood lineup. Just curious what order ppl reccomend putting on an aftershave and a post gel balm, not sure if one before the other is more benefical. Or if taking one totally out and using one post shave product at a time is better? I apolagize in advance if this is an old thread kicking around somewhere but I couldnt find it.....

I apply the post shave gel or cream before applying aftershave or cologne.

If you prefer, I suppose its okay to apply some aftershave gel after applying your aftershave. However, I think the purpose of aftershave balm is to soothe your skin after scraping it with a razor blade--either a de or straight razor.

I agree with tmy friend jhenry, post shave product before aftershave. In my case I use Trumpers Skin Food as a post shave balm before applying my daily aftershave. The idea being that the balm does indeed soothe the skin, and the aftershave seals it all in. Works great for me.
