Default Toms of Maine Shaving cream

My wife got me Toms of Maine Shaving cream in a tube so I tried it this am.

It's supposed to be brushless but I used a brush anyways.

I squeezed about 1/4 inch (7mm or so) out of the top, removed it with my finger and dropped it into the bowl of my homegrown scuttle. I charged the brush with hot water and pressed the brush completely into the bowl, whipping like I would with soap and slowly pulling the brush out as I whipped.

This stuff made mucho lather pronto! It didn't hold as thickly on my face as I like but it had decent lubricity and held the moisture almost the same as van der hagen (surrey) soap. Over all I'd say the shaving it self went better than william's mug soap but not quite as good as surrey (van der hagen). It was similar to the experience with prorasso.

I really liked the minty aroma too. If I wasn't so biased against creams I'd have been really pleased with this product.

I like the stuff. We have a store around here called "Grocery Outlet" that carries various remainders, overruns, etc.. They're selling tubes of Tom's Mint Shaving Cream for $1.67 a tube.

    I stocked up.

Eckerd drug store in Durham was having a sale on them, so I got two tubes of it for $6 total since Proraso isn't being stocked at my Target anymore. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it, both by the shave and the way it felt on my face. It was pretty slick, it lathered immediately, and it left my face feeling great. I'll have to do a side-by-side comparison between the stuff and Proraso cream to see which one I really like more.

I'm still using the first tube I received. I use it about 2 or 3 times a month or so. I'm surprised at how well I like the tube soap

Yeah, they make (or made - not sure if they still do) a nice Honeysuckle, too. I like both of their creams.

I get Tom's of Maine at Wild Oats. Try Whole Foods, and possible GNC.

Granted, I did find it at Whole Foods, but I'd recommend trying Eckerd. That's where I found mine. I got mine on sale, but the regular price was still cheaper than what you'd find at Whole Foods.

Eckerd's became CVS in most states, and in Utah...there are none!
