Default Bigelow Shave cream (green tube)

Tried Bigelow shave cream yesterday (from Bath & Body Works) Green tube, made by Proraso. Smelled nice in the tube - a bit of this barber shop smell I remember back when I was a kid. Get this: the salesperson said I can use it for a week and if skin is not tolerating it I can return it for a full refund!

Applying on face understood why they say it's cooling. It did kinda sting but not in a bad way - and after I stayed with it for some time my face was not red, just fresh. It IS supposed to be like this, so I am assuming I am not allergic to it.

Conclusion: Easy to lather, good smell, ok on skin. Not bad for $10. But did not seem to provide the lubrication I am used to from soaps.

Disclaimer: I didn't shave yesterday, just applied the foam - can you believe I was all lathered up and mustered the will to resist the shave!

    Cheers

They probably used a ton of peppermint EO to get that effect.

    Ivo,

It is my understanding that the Bigelow at B &Bodyworks is just Proraso in a different tube at a higher price. If you have a Target nearby, drop in. Look for the "Spa" section, usually near the ladies cosmetics. You'll find Proraso there. Warning...if you ask sales clerks for the Proraso, don't be surprised if they are clueless.

proraso makes green and red tubes.

i think the red is the one for sensitive skin. i got a tube of it and like it tremendously. it does "tingle" while using it and then leaves your face feeling "fresh", just as you described. so to me it sounds like its just Proraso rebranded for BnB works.
