Gentlemen,
Since the original topic of this thread is creams and not soaps, I'll stick with creams. I admit a disappointment in Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet, as I had expected more. Then just when I was ready to try Domenico Caraceni, the cream's production was discontinued. Now that's not very friendly. Next I plan to try Santa Maria Novella, provided production does not stop there, too. Castle Forbes still rules for me. I also have a soft spot for Truefitt & Hill's Ultimate Comfort (unscented) cream. That's about it. There are many other fine creams, but none stands out for me.

The one I was truly disappointed in was Lucky Tiger. IMHO, a very hyped product and I had to use 2x the amount suggested to get a fair lather. It didn't moisturize any better than my Proraso.
And to all...
I truly appreciate your many suggestions. One of the really cool things about a site like SRP is having all of this knowledge and experience in one place. It's a little daunting (and expensive), to experiment with some of these creams and soaps. Thank you for your tutelage!Last edited by hamilton946; 10-04-2011 at 11:55 PM.

Thanked: 11Three excellent choices, can't go wrong with any of them. My suggestion would be
1. Martin de Candre - Having a jar on the shelf is like having a Ferrari in the garage.
2. D. R. Harris Arlington - ...like having an Aston Martin in the garage.
3. Cella in the 1KG block, it is different from the product in the little red jar you know...

In reality, the Trinity is: God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, I John 5:7 or better known as the Godhead, As for Holy Cow that is from the pagan believe of Hindus being Polytheist, the manifestation of "god" in animals! I Corinthians 15:1-4 will clarify salvation! Have a good day!

From the Wiki
Paul Beale (1985), however, in revising Eric Partridge's A Dictionary of Catch Phrases: British and American, from the Sixteenth Century to the Present Day cites a different origin:[2]
“ The original 'Captain Marvel' and 'Batman' oaths, 'holy (something harmless),' were in turn spoofed in the later 20th century by whatever seemed relevant to the situation. Nigel Rees, in Very Interesting... But Stupid: Catchphrases from the World of Entertainment, 1980, instances "holy flypaper!", "holy cow!", "holy felony!", "holy geography!", "holy schizophrenia!", "holy haberdashery!", etc., and adds, "The prefix 'holy' to any exclamation was particularly the province of Batman and [his boy assistant] Robin, characters created by Bob Kane and featured in best-selling comic books for over thirty years before they were portrayed by Adam West and Burt Ward in the TV film series.

Thanks Louie. I've seen Martin de Candre and D.R. Harris Arlington mentioned in a lot of posts on these forums. It looks like I'll have to see what the fuss is all about
Excuse my ignorance but what's the difference between Cella in the 1KG block and the little red jar?

My trinity of inexpensive soaps/creams that consistantly out perform most of the more expensive brands.
1. Arko shave stick
2. Godrej Deluxe Lather cream
3. Any of the Razorock products
