The Real Shaving Company Cream in a pinch
I spent this summer out in Colorado and grew quite a beard while living up in the mountains and playing baseball. However, when my now fiance came up to visit at the very end of the summer, I had no choice but to shave the absolutely disgusting nest of a neck beard that had been growing underneath my chin.
So, we went to CVS and got a pack of disposable razors, ( I left all of my straights back in Springfield since I don't shave when I'm away from the lady) and then it came down to picking up some shaving cream. My lady picked up a can of goo and said "here, this one is the cheapest."
Frowning and pretending not to have heard, I looked down the row of shaving creams. There was some VDH, which I use in combination with all of my other creams, but I had no brush and thus that soap was worthless to me. The only other option was a tube of The Real Shaving Company shaving soap for sensitive skin.
Again, I had no brush, but decided to give it a try all the same. I worked up a terrible lather that really was the consistency of elmer's glue. Despite the terrible lather, it was enough to take off the Neard with no discomfort whatsoever.
Once I got back to Springfield and had a chance to give it a good work-up with the brush in combination with some VDH, I found that I really got a very nice lather with a rather pleasing scent, and the shave that followed was more than satisfactory.
Has anyone else had experience with this line of soaps? For under ten bucks it certainly got the job done, but seeing as I have very limited knowledge and experience with all of the wonderful soaps out there, I don't really know where it falls.

I've had great experiences with their face scrub and ASB, so I wouldn't write off their cream. I will probably grab a tube for the price and try it out.

The Real Shaving Company is made by the people who make the Body Shop cream and T&H...the formula is almost identical to the Body Shop cream.
It's one of the best creams available, in other words.

I guess it's on my shopping list for today, then.
The products I've tried from them have been great and the price is certainly right.

I'm in our local CVS all of the time and never noticed this one. I wonder how many other "sleepers" are out there?

It was my first cream. I originally bought it to uberlather VDH. Really hard to beat for the money.
