Thanked: 7Martin de Candre scents
Hello, gents!
Is anyone acquainted with Martin de Cadre scents based on the name of the soap? Cos on the website they don't give details and since they're among the priciest soaps I've come across, I was hoping someone could give me some insight as to what name stands for which scent.
Thanks

Hello, Pete,
Martin de Candre soap comes in one scent, a blend of mint and French lavender. French lavender is a bit more earthy than its English counterpart, which is more flowery. The scent has a few other notes in it, too. Some gentlemen don't like the fragrance, but many seem to. I love it. As for their aftershave and vetiver scents, I can't comment on them, because I have not tried them. The soap, by the way, is superb.
Stay well.

Thanked: 7Thank you, Obie!
I know French Lavender, it's a more medicinal scent, but fresh and manly. I just didn't know Martin de Cande used it.

Thanked: 7I use Nanny's Silly Soap Company products. I've tested a lot of soaps, some cheap, some expensive, but always return to them. Her Vetiver is awesome! Provided you take the learning curve to lather it properly. Folks were telling me Martin de Candre is the only real competitor on the European market for Nanny, hence my question, because I definitely want to try one. A bit pricey, though...
