    Default evil lanolin...

just finished a shave and i used a soap that works good for me *(mastershake is the creator... eucalyptus and something or other but it smells great and works awesome)...... anyway... i have used this soap with great success several times.......

this time however... i was down to the very last scraps of the soap so i put ~6 drops of lanolin in to make it stretch..........

    bad idea........

i have so many weepers now i look like marv from sin city..... has anyone else had this problem??

i don't think i will be adding it to any of my soaps anymore......

    my face hurts....

Six drops sounds excessive, whether its lanolin, glycerin, whatever. You likely killed your lather, leading to the scraping and bleeding - in other words you didn't get the protection you're used to. Before scrapping the lanolin altogether dial it down a bit and see if there's improvement.

the lather was thick and creamy........

i won't argue about the "no protection" part....... lol....

Well, to be fair, so is the lather that comes out of the dreaded aerosol can, but as we know thick and creamy doesn't necessarily translate to cushion and comfort....

Way too much lanolin. If I use too much, my face gets sticky and the razor sticks, use more pressure to get it to move, recipe for disaster. My lanolin is thick and I find if I use more than the size of a BB, then I can have problems. Just a suggestion, keep those razors coming...
