Seems like quite a few of the good ones are calling it a day...
Thanks for the heads up though
I'm sure gonna miss Domenico Caraceni and Xpec as well.

Is this the shave soap in a ceramic jar with a cork stopper? If so, this is a shame, I rather like this soap.

another sad day in the wet shaving community! First the cream moved production and now this!!! A moment of silence for the passing of this soap. Glad I have mine already. It should last quite a long time. I will shed a tear for you Obie!

    Hello, Paul,
Yes, it is a sad day. Although I did not give the soap the best of reviews, since I thought the legend was a touch overblown, I still liked La Toja in that rustic wooden bowl. I use La Toja shave stick for travel. Anyway, I must savor my La Toja in the wooden bowl.

It's a really nice soap and I looove the scent, but I'll cope, the one I got will last for years as it's only used now and then. That's the upside to having a healthy rotation of soaps and creams

Agreed. While it is not MDC(who is?), or TOBS(any), I do like this soap in the wood bowl. Not a heavy scent either but just a good solid performer.
    Nice interview with Robert also!

+1 I'll miss it when I use up the last of it, but there'll be new ones coming and maybe I'll order another one ... maybe

I guess this could be possible when some members of the foroafeitado.com spanish forum told me that the shaving soap was sold out at the Manantiales shop in Spain, almost one month ago

I talked last Thursday with Marta Pérez Dominguez, the woman who manages the La Toja Museum and the Manantiales shop. She had not the ability to keep the products alive in production, the decision is taken by a person in the Marketing Department of Henkel España, the spanish part of the Henkel group.

We only can ask Henkel to make the manantiales soap again

This is the link for the messages:

    Formulario - Henkel

    Saludos cordiales

    In english:
Dear Sir. You have retired your better known product, the "Manantiales de la Toja" shaving soap, I hope you rethink this decision, this product has become very popular. It don't deserve to be retired, furthermore at the moment when the wetshaving is rising . Your product is considered one of the best in the world, I think that putting it out of the market you are not right. Please give it a chance an restart the production.

I'm sad because the manantiales bowl was made in Spain with more mineral salts and the formula was an old recipe of the shavestick. The stick is made in a Henkel factory in Eastern Europe (Slovakia or Poland).

Finally Henkel has answered me in facebook

    Han descontinuado... | Facebook

definitively no more soap of "Manantiales de la Toja"

Además para afeitado con brocha, también La Toja ofrece la Crema de Afeitar La Toja en su variedad clásica o pieles sensibles....

And then to use with shaving brush La Toja offers the shaving cream: classical or sensitive ....
the typical kind answer of a great company
