    Default Finished a Cream!

No switching, I used the same cream for every shave start to finish. Took since about November (I shave every other day). Not an every day occurence in the wetshaving community huh?

Oh, it happens a lot more than you might think. I'm about to finish 2 jars of Castle Forbes. When you rotate it just takes longer. I've been using these for around 3 years now.

Unless a soap or cream is a real stinkeroo I finish all of them. The dullards I get rid of pretty fast.

So about 3 months to a tub? Is that the going rate so to speak?

I've gone through quite a bit of soaps in my time, mostly Williams and Colgate. Gone through a couple of pucks of Col Conk as well. Currently I'm getting close to being out of Godrej and Erasmic creams.

I'd say. I've been doing this for over three years and I've yet to finish a single soap or cream. Not even close
(Though to be fair I started collecting them fairly early on)

3 months? Judging from the OP it would seem to be closer to 2 months, and at roughly 15 shaves/month, that's only around 35 shaves total.

But some questions remain unanswered: What kind of cream was it? What size of tub? Was it a tub or a tube? All questions that must be considered for this extraordinary feat.....

Yes, this post has been very tongue-in-cheek . IME this is not the going rate, but as we say around here Your Mileage May Vary.

I used a medium size brush, and shaved every other day. With a Large brush and shaving every day that tub would have been toast in no time.

I think that if more beginners would stick to the same soap or cream when they start out they would learn to build better lather then going all over the place. I ussualy use up a product before I start on a new one. I might not be so tempted to try all kinds of soaps because I hardly have any smell left because of a accident so for me it all comes down to how a product performs. It's all about doing what you like best of course.

I am only on my first tub of TOBS and I am curious how many shaves people get out of a tub like that (150g). I too shave every other day but I think it will last me 5-6 months. I have barely made a dent in it after a month or so.

I am only using a fingertip worth per shave

That is why I am a soap fan, they last longer. I have been on MWFS for a year and still have another two left in it.. I tried AOS and burned through it in a couple months.
