Thanked: 1195What is your favorite expensive soap/cream?
Yes folks, you read that correctly. So much space is wasted talking about the cheapest of the cheap products that I thought I'd mix it up a bit and start a thread devoted to the top tier products that we know and love. So pack away your Williams, Arko and VdH, because we're busting out the good stuff!
Obviously, I will go first with my selections.....
1. Domenico Caraceni - much has been said about this King of Creams, and I can't add anything else other than everything you've heard about DC is true. I'm glad I was able to purchase a tub from the Lucky Scent before they discontinued it, and it's worth it. Simply unbeatable.
2. Xpec - a close second to DC. I've yet to try the reformulated version, which I'm told is every bit as good as the original. The price per ounce for Xpec is actually higher than DC, making it one of the most expensive creams on the market. Another product that is worth every penny.
3. Penhaligons - specifically Endymion, which is the only fragrance of theirs that I've tried. Great scent, great performance - what else can you ask for.
I've yet to try Martin de Candre, but it's on my radar. I still find it hard to justify a product with a shipping cost almost equal to the product itself. Hopefully I get a good tax return this year....
So, what's on your list?

My favorite was Yardley. Ran out over a year ago and I've been looking for it since. Every time I find some it goes for way more money than i'd care to spend.

I think my list will be quite like that of the OP
1 Domenico Caraceni
2 Xpec
3 Castle Forbes
4 Martin de Candre
There are numerous other great products out there, but these four certainly ranks above and beyond most other products,
To me that is!Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 1195Good god, how did I let Castle Forbes slip my mind???
In the scheme of things I'd list it below Xpec but above Penhaligons.

Penhaligons Endymion and Blenheim bouquet, C&E sandalwood and Sienna,
I have some trumpers creams which i'm holding on to, but less impressed by them than i used tobe, still very good though, gave the sandalwood away because i like the C&E sandalwood better.

I agree with you Ryan. Unfortunately I never pulled the trigger in time on the DC. The only time I have tried it was what you sent off to me. Great stuff and in honor of this thread I will use my last little bit in my SOTD. I would also add the razorock limited artisan to this list. also perhaps cella. both are very soft and are more cream than soap.
