Thanked: 11Trumpers Extract Of Limes Soap Question
Anyone use this stuff? Is it green? Does it smell like limes?
I ask because I ordered some and I swear it's almond in the box. I emailed the vendor I purchased it from just to inform them, I wasn't asking for a replacement or anything, and they said that it's supposed to be like that. All the pics online show a light green puck for lime soap. Mine is definitely not green, it's almond color and it smells like almonds.
I want to know if it's worth it to buy Trumpers again. If their lime smells like almonds and is such a mild scent at that I'm not interested in their product any more no matter how good it shaves. I'll buy it again if it was just a mix up. I noticed 2 people on Amazon had the same issue, they ordered almond and got rose.

Thanked: 19I have Trumper's Lime. It isn't green--more ivory colored, but it definitely smells like lime rinds.

Yup mine is beige and smells of lime... trumper's is a more subtle lime than many maker's but it is still lime.
Be just and fear not.

Hi, I've been told that what might cause some of the confusion is the type of lime that's used. US style green limes or the Key Lime type lime . Different colors and different fragrances . Believe that most of the UK products use the key or caribbean type.

Sounds like almond limes to me! I'd be inclined to send it back myself if it doesn't seem right, used or unused. Just my opinion of course, if I buy lime soap I don't want almond.

Thanked: 11Maybe my nose is clearer today or maybe I'm just trying harder but I think I detect a bit of a lime scent today. It's very subtle, there's definitely a citrus scent there, but faint. I guess I do have the right one. Lathers and shaves great, but the scent is a disappointment for me. Are all Trumpers soaps so mild in scent?
I got a nice container for it though, I'll have to pick up some more they're so good for soaps. My local dollar store has small plastic tubs of body moisturizer for $1.25. They're a bit smaller then a Trumpers puck around and about twice as high. Dump out the goo, wash and a minute with a knife and the microwave and the soap fits in there great. They're flat so I can stack them.

Thanked: 1195If your first reaction is "almond" before "lime" it is not lime, which is unmistakable. But if you still have doubts, bring in a third party - wife, kids, friends, etc - to gauge their reaction.

Thanked: 12Havent used Trumper's lime, but swear by the Sandalwood--best sandalwood scent for me! If you want really brilliant lime scented soap, you can't go wrong by Queen Charlotte.
