Default Rays of Colorado-Goat Milk Glycerin Shaving Soaps

I'm not a big shaving soap fanatic, but I have to say, I was on ebay and I said what the heck, lets give something different a try. So I was rummaging around and I found, qty3 - Goat Milk Glycerin Shaving Soaps Sandalwood, Ray's Ol' Spiced & Bay Rum from a seller Raysofcolorado.

If you've never tried it, do yourself a favor and give it a shot. I've got pretty sensitive skin and this stuff is very creamy, lathers nice and my face felt great after my shave. I was a little concerned before using it, because of my past experiences with glycerin soaps, but my worries were over nothing.

To really test it out, I used a cheap beat up old boars hair brush thats been about as flat as paper most of the time, and a half heartedly honed Genco Seneca Chief razor. I'm still waiting for my norton 4000k/8000k to come in the mail. So I set the bevel on a 1000k and pretty much used a barber hone and a C12k and stropped it.

Needless to say, it actually was a very pleasant comfortable shave, so much so, I had to lather my face just for the heck of it after words. The scents are nice and fresh as well.

I am in no way affiliated with the seller, and I just wanted to post, to maybe help another member out if their in the market to try something different, that's inexpensive and worth alot more than I paid.

I'll tell you this, I will definetly be buying more after these 3 pucks are gone.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the info twogun!

I have seen the same listing on eBay and have come really close to buying more than once but had some reservations as to if the stuff was any good. You just answered my questions and I won't hesitate to buy the next time.

If you do pick it up, please let us know how it works for you. As I said, for the price I figured what the heck give it a shot. I'm pleased with it and I hope you like it too.

I tried Col. Conks along time ago, and ended up with a severe reaction to it. Had to see a dermatologist. Triggered my whole body to go into a frenzy. So I'm pretty cautious after that experience. But so far so good.

So far I have been lucky trying new soaps and creams and having no reactions. I have an uncle that is alergic to glycerine, could be what triggered your problem. That is a shame because glycerine sure does make for smooth shave.

The plan is to order some of Rays soap next week, will let you know what I think.
