Default D R Harris vs Taylor of Old Bond Street

Anyone ever tried both and have a clear preference in these soaps or creams?

To me it seems that the D R Harris is much more pricey than the TOBS. More than half the price. I've used the D R Harris shaving cream (Almond) and really like it! I know it is not a real big thing to buy a tub of the TOBS and give it a try but I figured that there is no hard/no foul in asking first.

    Any opinions?

I've tried both shaving creams and would give the edge to DR Harris, but if you like the scent of a TOBS cream, it certainly works. DR Harris soap, OTOH, is among my very favorite. Really excellent stuff. I've not tried TOBS soap however.

Definitely DR Harris. It is one of the better soaps out there.

    I enjoy both makers' products.
I do feel though that D R Harris has the edge on performance.

D.R. Harris is a fine cream/soap but TOBS presents the best value. It performs as well as any cream out there and costs almost half of what DR Harris creams do.

Wow, a lot of consensus in this thread - too bad government doesn't work the same way!

I have to agree with the others. I'd give a slight edge to DR Harris for performance. But I'm not really convinced that it is worth that much extra money than TOBS. Regardless, both have a place in my soap/cream rotation and always will.

Thank you all for the feedback. I appreciate it very much! I read all of the cream reviews and these opinions really help a lot!

    Cheers!
