I just ordered my first Mama Bear's soap this weekend and I'm looking forward to giving it a try. For me, this thread is perfectly timed...thanks for the tips!

I have three tubs of Mama Bears. I've found that a little goes a long way, like others have been saying. It's a little deceptive at first, as your first pass will seem like it has plenty of good lather, but then the next two passes the lather will seem pasty and will need more water. It's easy to overload your brush.

Today was the first shave with Mama Bear's.

Took the advice offered by BenjaminBarker and soaked the puck in piping hot water during the shower. Drained it off, loaded the badger bristles and began working it in the bowl, alternately hydrating and whisking. In less than 60 seconds, the bowl was overflowing with luxurious, creamy, fragrant lather. Mama Bears is FANTASTIC!

    Thanks for the tips.
