    Default Pick one only :)

    hey everyone,
So I have a problem each morning trying to choose between my MWF and the new Proraso. They are both so great for shaving. The fat offers very softening, cushioning, slick lather. Alot of ppl say the scent is weak. I strongly disagree. It is a light scent and reminds me of a nice baby powder. I like it alot. Then the Proraso, There new forumla is amazing. Yeah its that much better than the last. not only did they take out bad ingredients, but they seemed to have made the soap alot softer. It whips up a massive scuttle full of methol lather. I sometimes just mix the two cuz I can't decide. It actually works out pretty nice lol. So, here it is.....what do you like better and why.

Hmmm, I wasn't aware that Proraso reformulated; when did this happen? Anyway, I've had mine for over three years and it's not anywhere near done (not for a lack of trying lol), so I won't be picking up a new tub for probably quite some time.

Anyway, I voted MWF. It's the superior soap in performance and skin conditioning. I love the way my face feels after using the Fat. Proraso is great for the summer months and is easier to lather, but its skin conditioning properties are nearly nil, especially when compared to MWF.

For me the Fat and Cella rules for skin conditioning and slickness. Arko and Palmolive sticks come in on the second tier, and Prorasso is a third tier soap.

Proraso recently changed all of their products...they are also now offering sandlewood scent and a few others...only available in italy right now...but italianbarber.com has the new formula of the green and white tub as well as the new pre/post shave creams

    Easy choice.
MWF is one of the top tier products out there IMHO.

MWF is tops, but Proraso is pretty good. When I need a menthol chill, I chill with the Proraso, but I haven't seen or tried a new improved version yet either. I've recently purchased a tub at Merz in Chicago a few weeks ago and it's the same as before. I look forward to trying a new version. Where Proraso does have the edge is price though, but MWF is worth the money.

For my water MWF sucks big time. Can't get a decent lather if my life depended on it. Regular and soft water. Always been hugely disappointed in it. Proraso on the other hand whips up a ton of lather in no time and is such a refreshing cooling effect shave. My tube is nearly empty so I guess my next one will be the reformulated.

I have dry skin, especially in winter. I really like the lubrication and moisturizing of MWF and I'm not so keen on the strong menthol smell of Proraso but I get good shaves from both.

Where did you get the new Proraso from? It'll probably take ten years to make its way down here...

Proraso is among my favorites. MWF creates a great lather as well, but I find it to dry excessively quick on my face
