Thanked: 1How long would a 5oz can of shaving cream last you?
Just curious how long a 5oz can of shaving cream would last - I purchased one in the middle of February, and it would probably last me approximately 4 or 5 more shaves. Maybe I SHOULD be measuring this in shaves, but I haven't kept up with it.

A can of Barbasol should last you at least 5-6 months of everyday use. If your talking about the travel sized cans I'd say at least 1-2 months. If your talking about a tub of cream you make lather with a brush, 6 months if used everyday.

About 30 seconds till it went from my hand to the trash can. I gave up canned goo in '73 and would use a bar of soap before I'd use that stuff. To each his own though.

Thanked: 1I'm referring to something like this: The Art of Shaving - Shaving Cream - Buy Shaving Cream
How long would that normally last someone? And maybe it's because I'm a beginner, but like I said, this should last me just a few more shaves and I purchased it mid-February.

It depends on a lot of factors. If you do more passes, or just like a lot of lather, you'll burn through it faster. If you have hard water you'll burn through it faster. if you shave every day, you'll burn through it faster. i shave most days, have hard water, like a lot of lather, and do a lot of passes, so I burn through soaps and creams fairly quickly. Still, a typical tub of, say, Cella would last me at least 6-8 weeks of daily use

No idea how long one would last, but if you add a couple dozen more to the rotation, they seem to last forever.

So if I am getting this right a 150g tub of cream lasted for 2 months? Seem pretty quick to me. The general "unit" of measurment for creams is to use an almond sized scoop of cream per shave.
Thats should be plenty for your lather. How you measure this ammount is a whole different thing around here just search "snurdle" he he.
