Default How long does the scent last?

Last night I used a sample of of Trumpers GFT cream and of course it had to be .. well great a really nice cream. Now I find myself thinking of adding another cream to my rotation but thinking by the time I actually get to finish it there may well be no scent left. I have accumulated a few by now.

That is the question I am asking I guess how long does a cream last for? I realise it will probably lather for a long time but how long in peoples exprience do you still get that nice scent?

What is the experience of the members here???

How long do you plan on keeping it for? I've seen a few people get Vintage soaps from the bay which were now scentless due to age, and others that had unopened pucks of Old Spice soap that are 30+ years old and still had the original scents. Since you're talking about one soap/cream to another, I think you won't have any worry about the scent disappearing on you.

Put it this way mate - I've been collecting soaps/creams for nearly 4 years now and none of them are close to finished, and none of them have lost any scent. That being said I currently have around 20 that I rotate, not including samples, so it takes awhile to make my way back to the beginning. I would think that storage also has a great effect on scent longevity as well.

    Thanks Ryan

Thats exactly what I wanted to know! I will make sure I keep the tubs nice and tightly closed and try to keep them in nice cool place. Hard to do the latter sometimes living in Adelaide.
BTW love the new avatar! I am a huge fan. I have seen Neil 5 times here down under.

    Cheers

Right on! I've seen Neil 3 times myself and will again any time he's in town. I didn't know he was popular Down Under....

Back to your soaps/creams for a second. With soaps I always let them dry for at least a few hours before putting the lid on, just so moisture isn't locked in. With creams in a tub I always use a snurdler (scooper) instead of dipping a wet brush into the tub. Maybe I'm a little OCD, I don't know. Most tub dippers report no issues with soilage, but I would rather not take the chance. But as you say, the rules may be different in Adelaide than in the Canadian Prairies, so you can only do so much. It's been years since I've been to Australia, but the heat and humidity are fresh in my mind like it was yesterday...
