    Default Shave creams around Boston?

    Hello,

    Does anyone in Mass. have any recommendation for a great shave cream or soap that can be purchased brick and mortar around the boston area?

    I've seen that local Crabtree and Evelyn, Art of Shaving have house brands, but not sure if they are any good.

    Should I take a chance on them or do you know of something great?

    Thanks,
    Dave

    A lot of people like the L'Occitane soap and cream. They have a store in Boston, I have a puck of the Cade soap and it's nice, picked up for me in the city by my brother in law.

    Crabtree & Evelyn makes a really nice product. The Art of shaving used to be good, but I don't know how it is now. I haven't tried it since they reformulated their creams.

    I'm a NH native and get up that way pretty much annually. If you want to see what's available in the higher end product lines, you have three shops that are excellent in the area. In your shoes, I would definitely take advantage of them, as they are a dying breed of shop in this country.

    Harvard Square:
    Colonial Drug - Colonial Drug - the hard to find fragrance specialiste

    Leavitt & Peirce - Leavitt & Peirce

    Newton:
    Stoddard's - Home :: Cutlery Shop ::Stoddard's | America's Oldest Cutlery Shop

    Enjoy!
