    Default Suggest something like these

There are several tallow soaps on the shelf in the den. I like them all but there are three stand out performers. MWF, Institut Karite, and Tabac in that order give me the closest most comfortable shaves. The first two are neck and neck and the Tabac isn't far behind.

If you have experience with these soaps can you suggest others which might match them?

I have tried Palmolive, Valobra, Speick, Arko, VDH, Williams, and even Ivory. They are all in my PIF stack or gone.

Scent preference leans towards clean soapy fragrance but I have become accustomed to Tabac and really like it.

Cella is a great performer, Razorock artisan soaps, Mikes naturals would be my 3 suggestions

I might suggest DR Harris for you. It was tallow based (my varieties are a few years old), but I've heard some rumours that they might have reformulated so I don't know if they use tallow anymore. Either way, Harris makes great soap and is definitely top tier product - I've never heard anyone speak a bad word about it.

+1 to the DR Harris, that's a good call. I'd also suggest Sir Irisch Moos. I love the stuff and also love Tabac. Erasmic sticks are good as well and have a nice fresh oldschool scent and cost next to nothing.

Well, the very first that comes to mind that can match or even surpass the MWF is Martin de Candre.
That is, in my book anyway, the soap to beat

    Stellar performer in every aspect!

+1 for Martin de Candre. Two years on, this soap has barely gone down a centimetre... it will outlive me at this rate!!

Mike natural soaps have lots of different scents. I like the orange pepper and the lemongrass/eucalyptus. They don't perform as well as my Tabac on the lather department ( MWF don't perform better than Tabac in this south Florida waters) but very good lather, excellent glide and cushioning, on a variety of scents, and inexpensive.

+1 on d.r. Harris, I have the Marlborough and it's got a great smell and a slick lather.

This is likely the perfectly good and reasonable motive for me to acquire some MDC. Thank you Birnando
    YMMV
    It just keeps getting better
