SRD is selling it & so does Classic. Both are site sponsors. I have had fair deals with each of them.

Unless you have your heart set on the ceramic bowl you can save a bundle by buying the refill puck instead. It's up to you. You can also shop around and find the occasional deal online as well.

IME it is good news and bad news. The good news is that the ceramic bowl is beautiful. Heavy and solid with lovely old style lettering imprinted on the lid. The bad news is that the puck will shrink and never stick to the inner bowl. You .... if you have the same experience I've had, will always be holding the puck with a thumb to keep it stationary while you're loading the brush. If I had it to do over again, and knew what I know now, I would have just bought a refill and put it in a container.

Does the puck shrink over years or months? I've had my MWF puck with ceramic dish for about 6 months and it stuck to the dish when I first started using it, and it is still sticking now and it doesn't seem to have shrunk.

You're a lucky guy .... there is another MWF thread where, IIRC, most guys also had shrinking and cracking in their MWF pucks. OTOH, I must say that I have a variety of soap/cream and may go weeks without using one or another. So if used daily maybe it wouldn't 'act' like mine has .... dunno ?

I think I soaked the puck in the dish with really hot water to get it to stick. I do get the occasional cracks but I rub them out. I find that replacing the lid before it completely dries helps reduce the cracks.
From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place

LOL ! I shave with cold water only and I leave the lid off any dish, jar, whatever container until it dries overnight ....... I ought to start a thread .... "How To Get Your MWF To Crack & Shrink"

    +1 on SRD

I wet the bottom of mine when I got it then let it sit overnight. The first couple of weeks I lathered completely with the bowl, I think that packed excess lather/soap around the puck as it fills the bowl completely now.

That said, I use it a few times a week and always put the lid back on when I'm done lathering. No cracking here after 3 or 4 months of use.
