Thanked: 0Arko
Is the amazon 12+3 deal the best for arko? This stuff seems to be a lather monster and I want to give it a shot, but I don't know if I'm ready to lay down $20 for something that I may not like. Plus I have an order coming any day now so justifying an additional package (and storage of 15 sticks) to SWMBO would be tricky. And to top it off I don't know how long it would take to shave through 15 sticks (even if I give some away).
Thanks!!!

I found that it irritated my skin and gave up on it. One of my friends thinks its the greatest thing since indoor plumbing....(he got all of mine) you might want to give a single tube a try if you have never used it. 15 sticks is a big commitment when there are so many great choices...

Go to tulumba.com. They have the single sticks for under $2 as well as the full line of Arko creams and after shaves.

Gentlemen:
I concur with my friend Theseus. I have purchased Arko and other products from Tulumba and found the price reasonable and the service impeccable. Also, if you keep the shipment under 4 lbs. and over $25, you get free shipping. At least that's how it was the last time I purchased anything from this vendor.

Thanked: 1815 shaving sticks are way too much, good enough for maybe a year and a half with regular use. The Arko shaving soap is my personal favorite, but I think you should buy first a single stick in order to decide if you like it or not. Then if you do, buy that big pack, which has been offered in amazon for a while.

Arko
I am an Arko stick fan and it does lather very well. The smell is hard to place but i love it and that is where most people are; they love it or hate it. I grind mine into a candy dish and sometimes use that and sometimes the stick. But I also have a huge selection of creams and soaps so I only have 2 sticks of Arko and the way I rotate that will last me a while. I wouldn't do the big pack. A. Make sure you like it and B. don't limit yourself to just one or two soaps or creams. Have a good selection and it all lasts for a long time.

I think it's a bit risky to 'blind buy' something in our world. It could cost you even more than what you save to get rid of all that soap if you don't use it all up.
I personally have little experience of Arko, but I would try it out extensively before committing to that sort of quantity. To be honest, there are better things to be had out there, even for 20 bucks and the joy of this hobby is trying everything!

Thanked: 3225I enjoy Arko but like a lot have said such a huge amount of an untried shave soap might not be such a good idea. At present I have two sticks of it and usually use it when traveling as it lathers well on all sorts of water. It is cheap enough that if it is lost or stolen it is no big deal. That takes nothing away from the fact that it is a bargain and produces a good lather.

15 sticks will last you 15 years.
Arko is good stuff. If you pick up the Amazon deal, you will have sticks to give to friends. They make good stocking stuffers.
