Oh I've definitely gone through soaps from beginning to end. Namely Tabac, Monsavon and several of Trumper's rose soap. I have been doing this since the winter of 2005/6.
It's just soooooo easy to go out and buy a tonne of soap/cream from day one and then hardly ever go through it...

I was just in Dundee Scotland. You can still get Palmolive sticks at the Tesco, but they are about 1.30 GBP now. I bought 11 while I was there.
For the price, you cant beat em!!Through the mud and the blood, to the green fields beyond.

The two best IMHO are MDC and the limited edition Razorock Italian that I got two years ago(bought two bricks). Definately not the only ones I have, but the question was for the best. I don't look at it as what was the cheapest but best bar none.
Honorable mention goes to La Toja (may she rest in peace), not the stick but the original with the big cork. Still hoarding mine!

Incorrect. It's stearic acid based, meaning it is not a vegetable soap:

You still can but price has gone up to 80 pence, very good value
