Thanked: 2284I tried this soap a while ago, back when I only used a DE. I can't get past the pine tree scent. I wish they'd make it in other scents. Maybe in a couple years ill come back to it again when my nose has matured.

I'm in the same situation with another soap.
I bought a jar of 'Martin de Candre' as a birthday present to myself a couple months ago and now I've only used other stuff maybe once or twice, it's a pitty because some of the stuff I have is really great.Last edited by Baxxer; 10-28-2012 at 09:01 PM.

I enjoy the MWF when I shave in the shower with a DE. Very nice lather.

Gentlemen, Mitchell's Wool Fat is a way of life. It's part of the sacred right of passage into the wet shaving world. Except that this superb soap takes a permanent place in the luggage. I have used it for years, and will use it into the next century. No uberlather mixing with this. Nothing like that. No need for it. I take it straight and my Hollywood face loves me for it. I have a full soap dish and two replacement pucks. I think I need to buy a half a dozen more pucks just in case the world comes to an end.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Love the stuff. It has a permanent spot on my rotation.
