Thread: Soap or cream?

I Have read what men think of soaps and creams but I really need a women's point of view. I have issues with ingrown hairs and razor burn, but that is with my current shaving method. I am looking into getting a straight razor, but I need to decide what to save with. My husband got some shave soap with his kit (he ordered it yesterday), but he says that it is a bit manly smelling. What kinds of soap or cream do the ladies here like?
