Thread: SRD Unscented Shaving Soap

I used the SRD Unscented Shaving Soap this morning and I'm happy to say No Redness . I soaked my Simpsons Classic 1 in the sink while I was showering. Shook the water out and started loading the brush. I added a little water and began face lathering. I added a little water at a time until I had a good lather, it lathered up quickly with no problems. First pass went well and in the middle of the second pass I thought this stuff was pretty good. Since this was the first time I used this type of soap I didn't make enough lather. I did a quick reload and started my third pass. When I finished I took a good look at my face. No redness or burning and I got a good shave. It also didn't dry up on my face. It's called unscented but there is a very faint smell of something, I don't really know what it is. I finished my shave with some Nancy Boy Blossom wood after-shave balm.

My face is sensitive to strong scents so I'm forced to use "very tame" shaving creams and soaps. So that's why I wanted to try this shaving soap. Does it work good? Yes. Is it a little boring? Yes but it won't interfere with your favorite after shave or cologne. Am I going to keep it in my rotation? Yes
