Thanked: 2Pacific Shaving Cream & Oil HELP
So I shaved with the all natural Pacific Shaving Cream today and it didn't go so well for me. I couldn't lather it well with a brush, then i used my hands, it just wasn't a thick lather. I don't know if this is how it is supposed to be with this particular cream but that was the case. While shaving with my straight, the cream dried out and I noticed it getting chunky and pasty on my blade. This little 3 oz bottle is supposed to last 100 shaves according to the company. I also used the Pacific Shaving Oil as a base. This oil says you don't even have to use a cream or a soap just use the oil. I couldn't bring myself to do it, so I mixed them. I notice these soaps and oils are highly reviewed on the website and amazon and the like. Am I doing something wrong? I would really appreciate some suggestions. Thank you.

Never tried them myself but perhaps you could try one or the other as opposed to doubling them up? The oil may have cancelled out the cream. I've tried shave oils years ago and immediately went back to real shaving soaps. I just didn't enjoy the way they felt in comparison.

Thanked: 228I too have tried that shaving cream and got the same results as the OP. I emailed Pacific Shaving and they were very helpful but the results were the same. Watching their video didn't help either. They offered to call me (same guy on their video) to walk me through it but I deferred. I understand the low lather formula but watching the video showed that it could be done. I couldn't do it even through several attempts. Not for me!
