Thanked: 52Anyone tried this brand?
A very good cigar store near me with a great smoking lounge has started selling a brand of shaving cream made by Hirsh. It's a big jar, but a little pricey (about $25). BTW: The store carries a limited selection of some good wet shaving supplies (Truefit, merkur blades and DE and the like of decent quality).
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with Hirsh shaving cream.
If so, thanks in advance.

Gentlemen, I'm afraid I have never heard of this shaving cream. Could it be something designed specifically for that store?

Thanked: 52Gentlemen, thanks for your responses. It's called Cigar King in Skokie. They have a web site that has a link to Shavingcreams.com and in that site there's a picture of the Hirsh product.
It's been around forever. It has a big wooden Indian out front. Here's link to the place.

I've been looking at the sandalwood cream, but the parabens and polyacrylamide are scaring me.
Back in grad school we used to use heavy protection when working with acrylamide (a neurotoxin).
Presumably it became inert after polymerizing, but what the heck is it doing in shave cream?

The FDA allows 0.2% of non-polymerized acrylamide to be in the final product
The polymerized molecule is too long to pass into the skin.
