Tried it yesterday. Seems like a pretty decent soap. Lathered easily, good cushion, it didn't seem as slick as others I've used, but its the first glycerine soap I've tried. I have sensitive skin, and some soaps irritate me, but this one does not.
The bay rum scent is nice. My wife actually picked it out for herself.

I just reieved my second puck of Col. Conk Lime. I also have Col. Conk Bay Rum and like them both very much. Very good cushion, lathers well and very slick, the Lime has a stronger scent. The only thing I've tried that is slicker is Cremo Creme, but then its cream, not soap.

I used it years ago. I liked the amber the best. I think all their scents are pleasant enough but in the scheme of things the Conk soaps are barely mid level products. certainly better than Williams and VDH but not like a good English soap or MWF. For a few bucks more you can do better.

Thanked: 10I tried Col. Conk, but unfortunately didn't work well on my skin. Just didn't lubricate well.

For myself, the bay rum was a great lather. I tried the lime and just never got a good lather from it. Used it up trying to make it work. sad really...
It's just corn syrup... Warm, blood flavored, corn syrup ...

Thanked: 25I've used the Bay Rum before and absolutely loved it. Its been years ago and I honestly cant tell you much about the lather or lubricity of it on my skin, but I do remember it smelled great. One of the best scented soaps I've used. For me now, I worry more about the scent of my aftershaves more though so I tend to like soaps without a strong scent to them or more of a neutral scent. Although if I were to use a Bay Rum aftershave on a regular basis, I would certainly keep that Bay Rum soap in my rotation as well.

I love it !!! it lathers well alone, but I use it coupled with proraso sandalwood. That is the best thing about wet shaving it lets you mix and match to your hearts content. You should buy some put it in a ceramic bowl and microwave it, put it in the freezer until it hardens and lather like crazy.

I have a puck and I'm really unimpressed with it. takes a little more work(for me) to get a good lather with it. The scent is nice and it is pretty slick, but I just cant see myself using it when I have TOBS sitting right next to it. As far as less expensive soaps go I would buy some VDH before I would buy Conks again.
