    Default Melting my Soap

Stupid ?? But to melt my puck to better fit my bowl. Pop it into the microwave or what? I've done the shaving it down with the wiefy's cheese
grader trick, but what if it fits I just don't like the left over room on the side of my bowl.

Believe it or not the answer isn't so simple what else is new with this hobby LOL

First Microwaving can burn off essential oils so I recommend a slow warming of the soap and bowl you want to use in a simmering pot of water, ie: a double boiler method

But more importantly it really depends on the soap, only Glycerin based soaps will "melt in",,, Hard Milled soaps will not, they will actually burn into sticky goo in the MW so don't do that

Wow I guess the only simple way would be to buy a smaller bowl.
    Thank you for the info

Grate half of it (off the face, not the sides, so you still have a round puck only thinner), put the half-puck in the bowl, press the shavings in the open spaces around the puck.

I do this because I don't like the puck rattling around in the bottom of the bowl
