I've been to her shop and smelled most of her soaps. Sue is a great lady and the soaps smell great. They also lather well.

Mama Bear's soaps perform wonderfully and the scents are very strong, however they leave my face burning and irritated which is unfortunate, because I like both the scent and performance of these soaps.

If you like glycerin-based soaps it is a good choice.

Personally, I love the "Spellbound Woods" scent.

I just put one of the wedges in a recycled Mama Bear container (you could use any microwave safe bowl) and microwave it for about 3 seconds. It melts, spreads over the bottom of the container and is easy to get onto your brush.

BTW, I too really like Mama Bear soaps. I must have a pretty tough face. I have had no problem with irritation.

    Shave on.

Hello! Sorry to get in on this one a bit late...

Sue recently added the fav scent: Nag Champa - to her lineup. Talk about excellent
    choices/variety!

As to the quality of shave from her soaps: I normally am a tallow dude... I now use her
glycerin based soaps regularly and find them to perform fantastically.

When I have used her wedges; I use a designated DE blade to slice slivers off the wedge & drop them into the bowl, which already has the hot water ready, swish it around untill it melts, then use the brush to whip up the lather.

I'm not on for melting my soaps with a microwave, just me.
