I found (during my brief flirtation - I only had a small sample) mixing cella into a superlather really tempered the scent.

I have just today received a tub of Cella and am about to give it a go. Its soaking in the warm water as we speak and the Italian method sounds good to me. The smell is not what I had imagined but pleasant none the less. Here goes

I make ubberlather with Cella and scent-free TF&H cream. I like to keep the almond scent. I think adding a dab of cream (and a few drops of glycerin) makes for better lather than the soap alone.

I might be getting some Cella for Christmas. I am pretty excited about that soap after all nice things I have read about it

To me, Cella is one of the best performing tallow based soaps, giving very good results both on face and bowl lathering. I also like the scent, but I think this is easy for me as I generally almond scented soaps.
I personally rank Cella a little lower than P.160 which is, in my opinion, the best tallow based shave soap I have ever used. No one of the tallow based soaps i used so far compare to P.160.

I just got my first Cella today! I am trying it in the morning! Lets see if you guys are right about how good it is...! I like the scent and it reminds me of another italian soap/cream razorock classic that i like... Do you guys recommend transferring to a bowl/mug? Lathering from the tub or creating a lather on a bowl/mug?

Just load from the tub. It's good for face lathering or bowl lathering depending on what you prefer.

Awesome stuff by itself, face lathered, mixed with bigelows into an uber, etc. every way I've used it has been great.

Tried dozens of soaps. Still have most of them but Cella is the one I go to most. Lubricates like Wool Fat, mounds of lather. Italian? 1899? A kilo for a few bucks? Best buy in wet shaving IMO.

Feel the same about Real Shaving Co. (for creams).

I did the same and although it's a bit softer than a regular Arko stick it seemed to work OK for me.
I did have to wet my brush a couple of times,......and wipe the floor and wash the mirror down.
