Are you getting lather from it and just don't like it. Or are you getting no lather, runny lather or lather that disappears.

For me Cella is definately a top shelf "Crema da Barba" it lathers beautifully is scent is not overwellming and in the end just great results.
I always get the red tub, interestingly i see many get the 1 kilo box, i was always under the impression that was a different products hence its different name "Crema Sapone" thoughts?

I believe it's the same after purchasing both. The kilo can dry out & harden a bit over time is all I noticed.

Do you find that the drying out and hardening affects the soap's lathering ability?

I don't notice any & the hardening is very minimal.

I have some in glass containers that I got about 6 mos ago. I got so paranoid that I broke them out and lathered them up just to prove to myself everything was in order. They were a bit harder, but still put out some incredible lather.

    You're not the only one...

I have tried Cella three times.. She and I just don't get along.

First two times I gave up and PiF'd the tub because I couldn't get a decent lather. This time, after a brain-storm, I tried it in stick form (just pressed it into a twist up) and while I can finally lather it well, it seems to dry down too fast for a straight shave. Might work well for a brisker DE shave...we'll see.

I have no shortage of great soaps, so if Cella and I remain at odds, it's no big deal.

    how did you use it?
The best way is to add some water to the soap and then swirl the brush nicely to load up. For me best results come with face lathering not in a bowl.

I wrote it off as a problem with my water...

Wet brush, not so wet.. bowl or face.. boar or badger. None gave me the lather I could build with other software, so I gave up.
