Wrong. There is a huge difference between a quality moisturizing soap and the cheap Wilkinson sword soap I'm using now which leaves the skin much drier following a shave.

I stopped using my alcohol based aftershave figuring it would dry out my face in the winter. I tried it and it actually has made my face feel very nice (aside from the initial burn). Closing the pores instantly must keep more moisture in and help a lot. Also making sure I over exaggerate my prep helps a lot too. It's been a few days at 0% humidity and my face feels great.

Thanked: 36I have the same problem during the winter. Some of my favorites are: MWF, Martin de Candre, and for a cream- Truefitt and Hill Ultimate Comfort. Also using a good Aftershave balm or lotion helps tremendously.
