    Default SAD strikes again

I was at WM just going to pick up some stuff for the house, went by the shaving aisle and couldn't resist picking up a cake of Williams as it was only $1.59. The scent is familiar and I built up a nice lather with it (always do when putting a new soap in a mug). Now I can't wait to shave-test it. I don't know why I got it as I have 3-4 years' worth of Colleen's stuff

    Ilija,

I managed to resist stopping by an organic store to check out some Lucky Tigers products they have on the way from work. Finally went to get beer and went in another health store and spent 15 min looking at soaps, toners and what not

I want to buy some of the trad soaps (GFT or Taylor, as T&H's scents were quite a disappointment). Kind of hard to justify, as I have several years of use as it is - same as you.

The one you bought is mild - to the point that I want some more vavoom in my soaps

Costing about as much as a large cup of coffee @ Tim Hortons, I didn't have to do much justifying for this one. Oh you may want to try using Williams for stain removal. The dye from the red pistachios was coming off my fingers like crazy, just from handling the soap

uh-oh, Ilija going down the slope!

Let me break it to you that the cost doesn't matter that much. What matters is that you have several years' supply, as you admitted, and still get others!

I am guilty too, not playing a saint or anything... At least you and I have the excuse of sensitive skin and the search of products we can tolerate

    Cheers

I really wish I could say that it's b/c of my sensitive skin, but Colleen's stuff is just right for me. So are the T&H/C&E creams. Williams acquisition was prompted by pure curiosity-driven SAD. The scary part is that I'm also wondering about all the hype with Proraso products

    That's easy: too much menthol

I know, I know - you have to try it yourself. Good luck

I started with this soap, and though I generally use Harris, T&H, or Gold Dachs nowadays I still haul it out on occasion - I used it for about two weeks straight before christmas. It works really well though it needs a lot of water. I prefer lathering it up on my face to give me better control over the water ratio. It seems to work better as a big fluffy lather rather than a thin creamy lather for some reason.
