Thanked: 0Gluten free shaving soap sticks?
Hello all,
It's been a long time since I have been around but any way. I just realized tonight that the soaps I have been using for years (Mama Bears) contain wheat... and I have celiac disease so they are a no go (and I am buying a new brush since my old horrible excuse of a brush has been used with them for years so it is fully contaminated).
So what other shave soap sticks are around that do not contain wheat/rye/barley/oats? I could even deal with using a soap cake if I have to but i do prefer the ease of the soap stick.
and now off to figure out what in my apartment I can use to shave with in the morning seeing as I only have the MB soaps.

Thanked: 375Maybe Mike's Natural Soaps, I believe he makes shave sticks, I think he list ingredients on his website (good soap), This is what I have La Toja, DR Harris Lavender, and Arlington. I do not see wheat/rye/barley or oats listed on any of these. I also have Palmolive and Speick but I no longer have the boxes they came in to verify ingredients.
I know you're looking for a shave stick but have you ever tried "Real Shaving" cream or RS? excellent stuff, they don't seem to have the ingredients you're trying to avoid eitherCHRIS

Thanked: 2Swanson.com has a Grandma's Shampoo & Shave Bar. It appears to be gluten free. The ingredients say it has rice bran in it. I have not used it but for $4.80 plus shipping it might be worth a try. The website also has alot of supplements you might be interested in

Thanked: 995Generally, you have to ingest the gluten and the body responds with an auto immune dermatitis. I have not yet been able to find any contact allergic reactions to gluten. That does not mean it does not exist, but it would be a rare and unexpected thing. I hope you're not eating the soap sticks.

Look at Noxzema canned aerosol shaving creams. They even have an extra sensitive one. Check the labels , don't believe there's anything real in them.
