Thanked: 1Pinaud
I started with my ususal shave gel Gellet pro glide sensitive skin. That was nice but wasteful I thought. So I bought the walmart aleo and shea butter shave soap. I'm loving that. When I first decided to straight shave I ran out and bought what I had seen for years in barber shops "Pinaud" shaving talc. I have messed around and tried to make a lather with no luck so I sprinkle a lil on my soap cake so I can have that amazing smell. Can anyone tell me how to make that awesome thick lather I like but with pinaud? I love the smell and have noticed its mainly used as a "Second" pass dry shave. I seen on youtube a guy use something similar but it took about 7 or 8 min to. get a tiny layer of lather. Is there another way other then coating my face with the powder and then rubbing wet hands to make a lather? Wow I cranked out a book sorry.

Thanked: 55I think it's just for electric shaving to dry the oils in the skin.
How would one use talc to get lather?
I can see using regular shaving soap and adding a bit of Clubman aftershave for the scent.Last edited by gcbryan; 02-16-2013 at 10:52 AM.

Thanked: 1195If you want a soap that smells like Pinaud Clubman try Mama Bear. She has so many varieties of soap she's bound to have one similar to PC.

Thanked: 10SRD makes some great soaps of their own I recommend getting a sampler pack. I have used 3 so far and love the sandalwood and the vanilla bourbon, the other one I don't remember the name I didn't like the smell too much. They wont smell like what you are looking for but I found that the majority smelled great through the plastic bags.
