I never had a problem wet shaving with a DE. I just started to learn str8 and was told Conk is good due to being able to see beard direction. I took a hot shower, applied Castle Forbes pre, and lathered up the Conk's. First side of my face was good but other side was sticky and more lather or water did not help. The str8 keep sticking so I had to put it down.
