I'm into Al's right now also, loving the lather. I really want to try their Kathmandu and Absinthe but I am still working my way through the sample pack. Goodfellas tomorrow, I can't wait!

It may seem expensive at first glance, but Acqua di Parma's cream (the one in the tub) is pretty good. Just as good as CF if you ask me. And you have some great choices already!

JTB, here are some suggestions for you:
Xpec original, Castle Forbes lavender, Santa Maria Novella, Acqua di Parma, Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet, Trumper's violet, D.R. Harris's lavender, Taylor of Old Bond Street's Jermyn Street, Truefitt & Hill's unscented, and Edwin Jagger. All good stuff.

Thanked: 1I'll tell you that fell in the love with the shave creams when I started wet shaving. I've been trying as many different ones as I can and I rate them based on the quality of lather and scent. For me, while T&H makes a great lather the scent is way to weak. If I had to choose one I'd go with Traffalgar. AOS makes a great cream. I'm loving the AOS Lavander's lather and scent. I'm a touch disappointed in CF. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with it, but there is nothing that stands out either and for the price I'd expect it to. That said, you can't go wrong with CF. Trumper's Sandlewood lather is somewhat worse than the others I mentioned and the scent is way too boring. It's what I imagine my greatgrandfather used. My personal favourite is TOBS Sandlewood. TOBS makes a great leather and strong fun scent. And for the price you can't beat it.
Next ones on my list are Tabac, Crabtree&Evelyn and of course, the granddady of them all - Martin de Candre.
Take the advice of the guys above and get samples. And enjoy!!!
Cheers!!!!
