I would want a shave soap, cause I'd want good lather for the shave. But I'd want something harder so it won't get too used up in the shower. Of the soaps I've tried (which is few), MWF.

I thought about the MWF, I'll have to look into the shampoo part of it. I'll have to give it a try.

Airport, pretty much just rub on the head to make lathery shampoo lol. I thought the same thing first time I heard of it.

I have tried the Shea moisturizer soap and found that it does not give good lather. Would be ok if using in the shower with a cart but not a straight.

I've used "Sea salt soap" has blue packaging with an anchor on it. I thought it worked okay, might order some more closer to summer, reminds me of the beach.

    Update:

Used the Dr Bronners lavender today and it worked well for shampoo/shower/shave. The shave was actually surprising, not a thick lather like traditional soaps or creams (might just need tweaking), but it gave good protection and glide with the German Bakelite Slant and a feather blade that already had 4 or 5 shaves on it.

Result was a smooth irritation free shave.

I wouldn't use this as a preferred method while at home but it does the trick just fine when you want to pack light traveling.

I used bar soap all of my life for body, hair, and shaving (rub it on, shave; no lather), until a couple of years ago, when I gave up soap completely (another interesting story) except for shaving, then went hog-wild on trying shaving soaps. Up to that point, I'd use whatever was in the soap dish, and shaved in the shower with a one-blade throwaway. As a consequence, the first "shaving" soap I tried was a bar of glycerin soap my wife had rejected, and was surprised to discover that it does make an excellent shaving soap, so I often take a bar on trips for shaving purposes.
