Cremo Cream. Any other comparable?
I'm kinda new to this straight razor community. Up until about a month ago I was shaving with a Gillette disposable and Edge gel.
I've been using a straight for the last month and absolutely love it! The reason I started researching straights was that I was tired of paying for al the stupid 4 and 5 bladed battery operated razors. It just seemed to be getting ridiculously out of control.
What I did not really expect was the depth of complexity of all that goes with straight shaving. I find myself enjoying, and even looking forward to, what was previously just another mundane morning task.
So, I've so far tried Mystic Water soap (sandalwood). Love the scent, but seems kinda harsh and dry on my face for shaving. Also tried, and love, Cremo Cream. It feels like Teflon on my face. Very smooth and comfortable shave! The only problem I have with it is there is hardly any scent to it.
Does anyone know of a comparable cream as far as comfort, but with better scents? Or should I just look for an after shave with the scent I'm looking for?

Thanked: 3226I think I would just look for an after shave or cologne the I liked the scent of. Haven't had any soaps that lasted long scent wise after a shave.

Thanked: 2I too have used the cremo and liked it. I have also tried C.O. Bigelows by bath and body works. it has some scent to it. It blankes your face in a safety net of mentholated lubrication that is very refreshing.

Cremo is just the very tip of the ice berg when it comes to soaps and creams. Do some searches for top 5 creams and top 5 soaps and you should find alot of options

Thanked: 18I would recommend Proraso. Easy to find (every online vendor sells it), good price, and solid performers, just choose which one to buy according to your needs. They are not fancy scents, but their products are one of the best I've tried so far.
