Thanked: 0Cream vs. Bar ( how to keep it hot)?
Before shaving I will run my brush under hot water
When I shave with my cream I run the bowl under hot water as well, which keeps the lather nice and hot, however, when using a bar of shaving cream I find that the bar will absorb the heat and I cannot keep the lather hot. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanked: 3227Get a scuttle, that should work. Maybe let the bowl you build the lather in stay in the sink with hot water surrounding it?

i agree with BobH sounds like a scuttle might be in your future. mine (dirty bird 1.5) keeps my lather warm through out a whole three pass shave. there are many different ones out there

the dirty bird that i have is great, it has a large bowl with plenty of room to make the lather in. I have used an SRD scuttle, which is equally awesome, but has a much smaller lather bowl, it still works to make lather in and woks really well if you face lather and just need a warm spot to keep your brush between passes. I do plan on getting an SRD scuttle in the future. hope this helps a little.

I've got a dirty bird and a Robert Becker. I haven't been able to decide which I like better.

I have an Oskar scuttle from Germany. I think it's tops.

The only one I have ever used is the Becker (#02) and I love it. Great value IMHO.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
