Thanked: 21Love me some lemon!!
Ladies and Gentleman,
I'm looking for suggestions. I always shave in the morning as its required for my job(military)but since shifting to DE/SR it has become more of a pleasure instead of a dreaded task each and every day. I have used AOS lemon shave cream for a few years and love it, as well as the Mikes shave soap in the lemon as well and cant say enough good things about that, especially the smell. I crave the lemon/lime smell's in the morning to get me going. I have also used the Castle Forbes lime, with MWF and I can only say WOW. Great things happen when those are mixed. So to the reason for the thread, I have yet to try the Momma Bear but have read great things about the products, has anyone tried their Lemon/lime? Also what other soaps/creams have people tried that later/lubricate yada yada great but are lemon/lime STRONG scented, but not lysol scented. Clean fresh powerful wake you up with the sunshine that is lemon/lime, sets my mind at ease, wanting to eat it or mix it was a glass of Vodka(sorry off the subject I almost lost my vision and went to my happy place)
Thanks in advance,
Respectfully,
Christian

I love lemon scented soaps and creams as well. I use Mamma Bear's Lemon ICE and with it warming up in AZ it has a refreshing cool feeling on my face as well. I also like the scent of Derby Lemon scented shaving cream. I have Art of shaving lemon scented pre-shave oil, soap, and post shave balm as well.. since I received them as a gift I figured I would give them a try. They are not scented strong enough for me and I tend to smell more "oily" type smells when using them then anything else but YMMV.

Thanked: 21I agree with you, the AOS is nice but nowhere as strong as say Mikes lemongrass. I'm from South Florida so I understand the heat your talking about. So I guess I have to order the Lemon Ice from Mamma Bear's, I'd still be curious about the lemon/lime from Momma Bear, If your saying the lemon ice is that good I cant see it being bad. Sorry I'm justifying my Soap/Cream addiction, guess I'll have to order both.

Haha... I also use Mamma Bears Rosemary Mint, Vanilla Sandalwood, and Awakening soaps in a rotation. I love the way her soaps work for me. I have the lemon lime one on my radar but want to get through at least one or 2 of the other ones first before I get any more.

Thanked: 13Christian,
I can recommend a little known soap that I've only been using for about a month but which is excellent. It's called Savons des Volcans. They have two scents, mint and a cedar/lemon. You want the cedar/lemon for that lemony scent. The mint is also a good summer scent.
They use donkeys milk and other all natural whatevers in the soap and the effect of the ingredients is a very moisturizing one. Just use care with lathering, however, as a too wet brush will generate too foamy a lather initially. Shake out all the water, load up and then gradually add a few drops at a time till you get the consistency you like.

Thanked: 21Bill, no chance there are ever hot or humid days in eureka where the year round high is 70 but average all year is upper 50 it never changes. But my prison sentence is almost over as I prepare for the move to the Bay area, again not super hot or humid, but after spending most of my years in South Florida or underway around the Southern islands I'm very familiar with high heat and humidity. And the strong lemon scents are refreshing in the heat but also very awakening in all climates. Have to find the perfect soap/cream mix to work with your amazing brushes. Anyway, need more lemon, haven't tried the momma bear and might as well give her lemon ice a shot. Along with all other suggestions.
