Thanked: 13MdC Fougere
For those of you who are fans of MdC, they just released a new scent based on what their Fougere bath bar smells like. If you've ever bought MdC, you've received a small bar of this soap and probably remember that smell. It's a limited series, so if you're interested, take a look. They say they'll make another run in about 5 weeks and if it's popular, it might become permanent.
I placed an order first thing this morning and as of noon EST it looks like they still have it in stock.

I love MdC soaps but the fougere I found way too strong in the scent department. You can smell it rooms away.

Thanked: 13True that. The first bar of it we got I put in our downstairs bathroom but you could smell it that first week as soon as you walked in the house. I like the smell though. It covers up the otherwise distracting aromas in my house of "teenage boy covered in Axe" and "wet gundog rolling in deer poop". Trust me, the fougere is an improvement.

MdC is gradually becoming the best brand in wet shaving IMveryHO.
I dig their normal scented soap version and got it in the wooden bowl two months ago. I can't justify the coin on the fougere, but had I not got a new bowl from them earlier this year, I would have jumped at this.
They are a great brand and their shaving soaps are second to none. Do I really need to finish by saying I'm a big MdC fan?

I have been using the new scent all week. What a great soap. Really nice. I do like their regular scented version too.

I just got my order of this soap this week and I have used it 3 times so far. No question it is a great soap. Easy to lather, lots of lather, lots of slip and cushioning. You really ought to get some. A word of caution though. You will have to like the scent. Fougere is not subtle like De Candre's other soap. Also, it comes in a 200 gram glass tub and given how little you will have to use each time you shave, it will last a very long time, I'm sure. So it's likely worth the cost.
Nothing is as it ever was.
