straightrazordesigns glycerin based soaps, just used a sandalwood sample today which i received a while back and i must say it blew every other soap i have in my rotation! the glide and cushion was unbelievable and lathered up easily! once the pocket is full i WILL be ordering more of that stuff! probably their vanilla bourbon or west indies bay...or opus x..or vetiver...

I started a thread the other day with I guess a bit of a review on my thoughts of this exact soap

    "My brush exploded!!!

And it filled my bathroom with the scent of Sandalwood.

A quick shower this evening, a soak of the brush, tossed the Sandalwood chip in my hand and a few quick swirls to load up.

I don’t think I even made it to the bowl with the brush and the scent hit me, my brush just exploded with lather,

I think the lather was growing on its own.

This is the first shave I have ever had where I did not feel the need for a post shave balm.

My face was both well moisturized and comfortable post shave.

If you have not tried the SRD soaps gents it is well worth the effort.

You can smell each one through the package, it is hard to pick a favorite, and the performance is top notch."

That is actually the kind of thing I'm looking for. To be honest, I really like my lather to be over the top with the scent as well as the lather. Part of the relaxation I get from shaving is having that warm, rich lather that smells so good, on my face. I will definitely need to get some

I'm not really a soap guy, and haven't used too many, but I too like the SRD stuff.

i can attest to that, while i loaded the chip in my palm, i also used the residue soap on my hands as a preshave and massaged it well. didnt know if it made a difference but the shave was fantastic. as for the scent, that is something to consider if one has sensitive nose/skin, but that is exactly why SRD also provides an unscented container. i think this stuff is magic.
