    Default sizes of cake soaps

I'm looking at an Old Spice mug and am wondering what size soap cakes might fit. Is there a standard size???

The average I believe is 3 inches. The size will vary from one maker to the next. This is usually not a problem since they can be heated up with hot water and pushed into the mug or bowl of your choice. Just about any cake of soap you buy will fit into that mug. If not just whittle it down a little and make it fit.
    Regards-

Cheese graters are your friends. Or you can cut them down, if you like. I find that grating works better. I also prefer not to melt, as that can have side effects that can affect the performance of the soap.

no need to with some soaps.

palm olive for example can be squashed into the right shape.

not a good idea to melt them as you lose the scent with some soaps
