    Default Casswell-Massey?

I have been scouting out local vendors that might have wet shaving supplies. I went to a cigar store that had carried shaving brushes at one time, so wanted to see if they carried creams and aftershaves. They had Casswell-Massey creams and soap, plus some brushes. I have seen Caswell-Massey colognes mentioned here at SRP but not creams. Does anyone have any experience with their shaving products?

My first brush was a CM. A Finest badger. They didn't make it but it was a quality piece. I tried their shave soap many years ago. It was OK but not as good as an English soap.

Good to know. I felt the same way about some Casswell cologne I bought years ago. The shop had a couple of brushes with thw CM label but made in England. I was wondering if they were made by Simpson or another British maker. Related to rebranding, the shop owner told me they sold straight razors but were out of stock. When I asked what brand the razor were she said she didn't remember but they were made in England. I was not aware that any new straights were being made there. Kind of guessing the blades were made in Germany and had a British label.

I have had some CM sandalwood aftershave balm that I love. Bottle is getting pretty low though, I'll be sad when it's empty.

I like the wood bowls they use for the soaps.

Yes. CM used to sell Straights but they dropped those a few years ago. I always assumed they were Dovos.

thebigspendur, I kind of suspected it was something along those lines, kind of like The Art of Shaving branded Dovos.

I tried the Sandalwood cream, pre shave and balm. The cream was OK but I would never buy it again. In fact, I tossed it after awhile. The pre shave oil was just as good as any other. The balm was the best.
