Thanked: 3226A Speick surprise
Used a Speick shave stick for this mornings shave and the scent was a bit of a surprise. It has a distinct scent very different from other soaps I have tried and reminds me a bit of patchouli. Aside from the pleasant surprise of it's scent the Speick stick put out a very good slick lather for a smooth and comfortable irritation free shave. Definitely a keeper and a good candidate for anyone looking for a slightly different scent to try.

The Speick stick has always been my favorite soap. The scent is unique and the performance is great. Along with Proraso green and blue creams, the Speick stick is one that I'll never be without.

I too find the Speick stick to be an outstanding soap with a unique scent. I consider it to be a "must have" soap. You might want to try the Speick bath soap as well. I expected it to have the same scent but it's a little different and a little stronger - very pleasant. I use it when I "sink prep" instead of "shower prep". (We have hard water and my SO complained about the soap scum in the shower. I suggested that she clean it more often. She had another suggestion.)

I have, and did try a few times, a stick of this product.
It never struck me as anything to write home about, scent- or performance wise.
Perhaps it is time to re-visit it once moreBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 1195I know I've said it before, but Speick is IMO the best of the "cheap" creams. No, it won't compete with Domenico Caraceni or Castle Forbes, but I will not hesitate to buy it again when mine runs out. Nice stuff

Thanked: 1263You can add me to the list of guys who really enjoy it. Had the pleasure of trying it not that long ago thanks to a fellow member and promptly ordered a tube for myself after. At the price point it can't be beat.

Thanked: 3226Yea, I basically meant to imply that it is a perfectly adequate shave stick especial considering the price point. I in no way meant to imply it was the holly grail. What more do you need than a slick lather and a smooth comfortable shave using it. I'll be using an LEA shave stick in the morning and I can almost bet it will be just as perfectly adequate also. The scent is different though more like Vim kitchen cleanser, hint of lemon. If you can't get a decent shave with this class of soap/cream going up the ladder price wise may not help you much, something else is lacking IMHO.

From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place

I lathered up with my Speick stick yesterday after not using it for many months. It is still my favorite soap; even the celestial Martin de Candre cannot beat it for me. The scent is unique, and the price is right.
